Every engagement starts with a free consultation, a focused 30-minute conversation about your situation, your goals, and what’s getting in the way. If we’re a fit, we’ll recommend the right practice and engagement tier for your needs. Then we prepare a Scope of Work document for your review. No work begins until the scope is signed and the deposit is received.

It depends on the practice and tier. Project-based Communications engagements typically run 1–3 weeks from kickoff to final delivery. Strategy engagements run 4–8 weeks. Operations retainers are ongoing month-to-month. If you have a specific timeline or deadline, tell us in the consultation, we’ll tell you whether it’s workable.

Yes, and for many clients, that’s where RSG provides the most value. If you need your operations tightened while we rebuild your messaging, we can run those in parallel or sequence them based on what makes most strategic sense. We’ll give you a clear recommendation in the consultation.

Project-based engagements use a 50/50 structure, 50% deposit before work begins, 50% on final delivery. No deliverables are released until the balance is paid. Retainer engagements are invoiced monthly, with the first invoice due before the engagement begins. Full payment terms are detailed on our Engagement Terms page.

If you cancel before work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable but no additional fee applies. If work has already started, a kill fee applies based on how far into the engagement we are, ranging from 50% to 100% of the project fee. This is detailed in full on the Engagement Terms page and in your Scope of Work before you sign anything.

Two rounds of revisions per deliverable are included in every project-based engagement. A revision round is one consolidated set of feedback, not a thread of back-and-forth messages. Revisions cover refinement of existing work, not changes to the underlying scope or strategy. Additional rounds are available at our hourly rate. Yes. Confidentiality is built into every RSG Scope of Work by default. If your organization requires a separate NDA, let us know during the consultation and we’ll review it before the engagement begins.

Operations support executes tasks. Operations consulting diagnoses why tasks are breaking in the first place, and fixes the system so they stop breaking. RSG provides both. We design and optimize the system, and where it makes sense, we also run it. The distinction matters because most operational problems aren’t task problems, they’re design problems.

Yes. If you have a specific event, program launch, or project that needs operational support, we can scope a project-based engagement outside our standard tiers. Tell us what you’re working on in the consultation.

We don’t guarantee specific conversion rates or revenue outcomes, those depend on factors beyond the copy itself. What we do guarantee is copy built from a deep understanding of your audience, your offer, and your positioning, written with craft and strategic intent, and refined until it’s exactly right. Our revision policy gives you the room to get there.
